Food in Alabama

In Brewster, Alabama, I stopped by a barbecue place. Had a large pulled chicken sandwich, a pork rib, pecan cobbler, coffee, all hot. Amazingly delicious. The sauces were different than barbecue sauces I've had elsewhere, here they were more tangy and mustardy. Barbecue preparation varies hugely, from its mesoamerican origins through its area of influence. Lots more info on barbecue!
Yesterday, here in Evergreen, Alabama, I went to Church's Chicken. It was different and way better here in Alabama than at other Church's I've been to in other states. Had a double chicken 'n' cheese sandwich, waffles with maple butter flavor artificial sauce, jalapeno poppers, honey butter biscuit. The place also had fried okra, mac 'n' cheese, and more. Will have to go back!

The South

A common sweet refrain to hear: "Thank you, ma'am!"
For lunch, I had potato soup with cheese and bacon, and corn bread on the side.
Edited another chapter!
Next, riding up towards Montgomery, Alabama, USA!

Jay, Florida!

Jay, Florida!
Sitting in a pharmacy & soda shoppe, with a lot of Coca-Cola merchandise. Had a sloppy joe, a vanilla cream, and coffee. And all the store ladies talk in beautiful southern accents.
After riding through some of the most gorgeous scenery in the country. Lots of beautiful farmland. Seeing peanuts and donkeys and so much more. This place is amazing.
Also, lots of trucks and farm equipment everywhere!!! :)
Last night, pulling into town and not knowing what state I was in, I went into the country store. Watched the sun set. Got a piece of fried chicken and some mac 'n' cheese. Sat on the rocking chair.
Along the way, I've gone riding by lots of beautiful bodies of water. Some have really long bridges stretching over them. This area has large protected bodies of water, and lots of money, so the resources go into building huge long bridges.
The water also produces lots of humidity, which makes me lazy. :) Constantly sweaty, drinking plenty of water. And stopping in at places with air conditioning, thanks to which it's possible to warm up with a bowl of chilli and a coffee in Florida in the summertime. :)
Next I'll do more editing of Astrotripping.

Tales of the Road

Along the way, I sometimes stop e.g. at a gas station for BBQ and coffee. Recently, in southern Alabama, one of the counter ladies told me about someone she knew, who was traveling America by train. Lately while he was trying to hop on a train, it ran over his foot, and he had to have his leg cut off. Ouch!
There are risks on the road. There are also rewards!
Thankfully I've stayed safe so far, despite some close calls, and having lots of fun adventures along the way!
Rock & Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
