Transitions! :)
Lots on the go, just quickly a few things for now, more words and media later...
Just crossing out of Georgia, into the Carolinas and beyond. New territory for this trip on the way up the Atlantic coast!!! :)
Tons of challenges along the way, including the destruction of my bicycle's rear derailleur. After several interventions, I finally just performed field surgery on the thing and made it run on a single gear.
Likewise, mucho map confusion, as the signage here is extremely complex, and most of the locals (including even at gas stations) don't seem to have a solid interest in navigation or communication. Still, lots of friendly folks and wayfinding and beautiful scenery!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Also extreme heat and humidity, it's consistently reaching over a hundred degrees Fahrenheit, plus humidity, makes it tough just to be outside, let alone ride hard, although the wind and the sun and the rain and the road and everything feel wonderful!!!!!!!!! :)
Covered in grease and dirt and sunblock and insect repellent and insects and plants and sweat and blood and hopes and fears and experiences and expectations and so much more, it feels so.... lively!!! :)
Rock & Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
