Wooooow! :)
Made it! What an incredible ride. It's taking me longer than expected, with so much gorgeous scenery, including lots of hills to climb up and glide down. The leaves are turning colors, making for an autumnal rainbow of splendor. Some trees have big leaves making gigantic abstract green sculptures all over the place. I'm encountering lots of friendly folks and a few unfriendly ones! :) And overall it's just a magical place and time to be, here and now in Tennessee.
In Knoxville, there's the big sunsphere from the World's Fair:

As soon as I got into town, I came across a big bicycle event. The city had shut down a major part of the streets to vehicular traffic, and many fine people were out on foot and bicycle.
The Market Square has a bunch of restaurants and outdoors decorations, and was a location where Elvis got some important early airplay.

Last night, camped out on a beautiful running stream after crossing the state line. The plants and animals here are spectacular! :)

Today, riding through some scenic hills in Kentucky. Went to the birthplace of KFC. Lots of inspiration, as the Colonel started off with a check and traveled widely, turning his idea into a hugely successful venture. Harland Sanders started touring at age 66, so we all have lots of opportunity! :)
People around here listen to lots of country music, bluegrass, and so forth.

Editing more of Phase Q in Kentucky again! :)
It takes a bunch of editing to give shape to the raw, rough forms that I first wrote. However, I'm finding that I enjoy the editing process, quite possibly even more than writing. In turning these early drafts into finer crafts for reading, it transitions from spark to expression.
Here in London, Kentucky, with signs for the University of Kentucky. All the mentions of London and UK could be confusing, except that I'm riding on a wilderness road by camp wildcat, a place where Daniel Boone and pioneers explored and settled westward, where Union and Confederate forces fought. This is a middle place, a meeting ground, in America. Can be a bit less exciting here than at some of the more outward points, yet it's rewarding in its own way.
Next, going to get back out in the sunshine and ride on, towards Tennessee!!! :)

Well, I feel like it's fun and helpful for me to write, and hopefully rewarding for you to read! :)
Sitting in a trucker stop/diner along the highway, in a gorgeous valley. In this dimly yellow-lit place with old striped wallpaper, lusciously twangy accents bring comfort food (including breakfast burritos although I seem to be the only one eating that!) to patrons who smoke cigarettes (which seems illegal indoors most places). A lot of the dishes I don't even know what they are, but they sound real tasty-like.
Eagerly looking forward to get back out on the road again in the sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
