Maryland is a surprisingly beautiful city. For some reason it even seems to smell nice in many places -- cigar smoke, food, and lots of other pleasant aromas.
When I first got into town, went by a row of loooong rowhouses, in brick, with people spending time sitting outside on the front steps, talking, walking. Went to the inner harbor. Went by the old baseball stadium, where the Baltimore Orioles play. Felt like magic. Went by Babe Ruth's birthplace. Felt like extra magic. The best baseball player ever!!!!!!!!! :)
Many cool neighborhoods. Apparently the city population dropped precipitously in the eighties, amid exiting industry and entering street drugs. Now a mix of charming affluence and poverty. Lots of urban areas with some convivial activities.
By the way, with so many municipalities on the way in this corridor from Washington up north, I can easily go through multiple different places in a day. :)
Rock & Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
