Phase Q/Brightside
In the period when Triads roamed freely, long before the birth of the Zonnyxes, before even the first Flowriser, there were many different types of Triad. These were known as races, later cultures. Each one was a distinct variety, bred by its own hand or its ambient conditions or even the impacts of neighboring tribes.
One such tribe, the Golden People, lived a richly joyous life. With festivity as a basic part of their behavior, they fruitfully whooped it up on a regular basis. Some of the other parts of the Triad population derided the Golden People for their joyous ways, while themselves suffering on in arrogance. The Golden People pursued their ways despite their detractors.
Some sources say that Flowriser roots can be found in the myths or in the cultures of the Golden People. Other sources say this is nonsense.
An average day for a person living in the Golden Spacetime consisted of much work (although their detractors denied this fact), accompanied by nearly endless volumes of food and music, and then followed up with a long period of relaxing and socializing and partying. No wonder many envied the Golden People.
Although they led very happy lives, the Golden People were not without their faults. With the large amount of partying they did, they often suffered from excessive hangovers, weight gain, and other debilitating side effects. Also, due to their pleasant environmental conditions, they rarely invested the effort to develop the then-nascent field of health technology. Even advocates of the Flowriser-antecedent hypothesis acknowledge that the time of the Golden People was over long ago.
Among the artifacts that the Golden People left behind, which unquestionably contributed to the later development of Flowriser values, prominent examples include a kind of foodstuff that somehow incorporated a soft exterior shell, doubling as both a utensil and a nutrient source, full of a blend with a well-balanced energy profile, as well as a synthetic formulation with origins in a tropical tree fruit, which purportedly gave the Golden People a combination of alertness and love and joy.
The Golden People suffered many challenges throughout their history, yet retained a winningly upbeat attitude. Even today, their codes for the production of energy for digestion live on as magical poetry. Their songs are no less famous.
Alas, as with all things from that time, the law of disorder took its effect. Most histories attest that the Golden People expired in the course of a metaparty that formed from the merger of several ongoing parties, to celebrate the concept of the party itself. After consuming an implausible excess of food and drink, they began a rest without end.
Those sources that attribute early Flowriser inclinations to the Golden People also claim that the ancients, while having significant overlap with the Triads themselves, nevertheless made an important contribution to the eventual overthrow of Triadic rule.
Today, the Golden People live on as a somewhat speculative legend.
Thus flewe the storyteller.
