You duck quickly

"Quack" asks the sea curtain, screeching to a sudden halt.

"Er, um, quack," you say, not quite convincingly.

"Ohhhhh.... quack!" Responds the sea curtain. "Quack quack quack quack quack."

You're not entirely sure whether you understand the different intonations correctly.

"Quack. Quack quack quack quack, quack, quack quack. Quack." You venture.

"Quaaaaaack quack quack quack quack." Answers the wall of destructive sea water.

You're not sure how much longer you can hold this off.
