An atorak is the leaf of a lugufruit plant.
The leaf is green and soft in daylight, but at night it turns into a clear, hard slab, much tougher than steel and of much higher optical quality than glass.
Atoraks are rarely eaten by gollichords, because of their potentially deleterious effects on the digestive system, depending on timing.
