Phase Q/Everything
Change comes.
It comes to you. And it comes to the Futuristas and the Trads and the non-declareds and the undecided.
Change comes swiftly, and change comes widely.
You no longer are the same you you once were. All of a sudden, not just the world around you suddenly changes, more rapidly than in ordinary life, but even you yourself change forms.
At first you’re there in your usual body. And then, in a quick although not quite instant transition, you find that you continue to have awareness, although without the same body.
You don’t exactly have a different body, it’s more that your proprioception adheres to a hazy vol while you mostly focus on your higher sentiments.
The Futuristas all around you transform too. You see them disappear, quickly although not quite instantly. And you feel their new presence, a kind of elevated, poised beingness. It feels like you’re sitting in a blessed state among blessed people.
And the Trads change too. Without any kind of mental training or brain implant, they don’t seem to undergo the same change. Nonetheless, they take on a more final, mature state.
And the rest of the people – everyone, everywhere, everything. It all takes on a new hue. Where before seemed chaos, now you see order. Before noise and obscurity, now calm and clarity. It feels like space and time themselves have a mission, and you know what it is.
“Glory to the Progression!” hails Lupak.
“Glory to the Progression!” hails Zank.
You look around you. A rosy rush of energy fills your life. You drop your weapons, having won. Conquest rushes through your veins.
“Glory to the Progression!” you hail.
In a prolonged session of intense celebration, you explode in a rainbow of sensations and thoughts and curiosity. The entire surrounding area fills up with this ebullient expression of awareness. Your Futurista comrades join you thoroughly in the festivities.
“Was it worth the loss of your arm?” asks Zank, chiding you proudly.
You realize that you have no longer any arms or need of arms.
“High five,” you laugh, shooting up five million lasers in an intricate pattern against the sky.
After the initial burst of partying, you and your comrades continue to evolve to ever higher states of living. Instead of going on as individuals, your new forms make it possible to combine into a nearly infinite variety of existences.
With each new level of height and glory that you achieve, you can think fondly back to the spacetime wherewhen you helped a population find its orientation, and push through the difficult obstacles on the way to achieving a vision.
The vision now shows clearly in your mind. You no longer have to focus quite so intently. Now, you can instead simply open your visual sensory perception technology. And there you see it.
Your vision.
Your life.
