Natalya opens her mouth to speak to you. A deep, throaty man’s voice comes out. Booming like a general: “What are you doing here? I thought you were dead.”

You reply, stunned: “I thought you were.”

She stares at you. Flaming stars shoot out of her eyes. You grab hold tightly of the ring around you. An invisible sphere seems to burst out from you, repelling everything it touches. The sphere seems to grow in accordance with how tightly you pull on the ring. The flaming stars bounce back off your sphere, dispersing through space.

The body of Natalya flips through the air rapidly rotating, swirling around you at the speed of a fighter jet. You confusedly turn around to follow. As you fall you realize that you weren’t even standing on a solid surface. Below you, free space seems to extend indefinitely.

Looking behind you, you see many flying objects. No sign of an entrance or exit or anywhere you came from. Just this bright space all around you.

Natalya seems to have something against you. She keeps on coming back with new weaponry. Maybe you betrayed her? Her blouse opens up, and her breast seems to heave out a ray of multicolored light, which blasts through everything in its path.

As the rainbow ray approaches, you desperately ask yourself how to leave this place. The subtle voice seems to hear you, and says: “It takes a pass to get in, and a key to get out.”

You don’t have any keys. The light ray hits you. It feels like a fizzy stream of fire. A hole cores through you where the rainbow goes.

“Ahhhhhhhh!” you scream. Your scream turns into visible soundwaves as it leaves your mouth. The waves travel a few hundred meters and hit Natalya. As they do so, they modulate her voice. The words she speaks adapt to the waveform of your scream, turning into a more moderate intonation than the general’s commands.

As clouds move in and out, as pianos and lizards and more fly about you, you begin to harness your mental exertions. Your thoughts change the flow of space. Darkness forms condensations, a funny thought tickles the gridlines.

Aha! You look around and see a key flying through space. A gigantic, golden key. It looks almost comical in its bluntness. Whatever. You go for it.

As you swim through the bright green space under the propulsion of your thoughts, Natalya morphs into a metallic glowing squid, and follows. You drop a floating mine. It knocks off three of her tentacles. She morphs into a big cannonball and falls up towards you.

KABOOM! Natalya explodes all over you, in an icky mess. You shoot out a hook, and reach for the key. The key turns into a door, and opens. You fly through. As you leave, the torus slips off your body.

Behind you, Dawn’s gaze follows you. “You’ll want this.”
