Contributors are what makes WOW possible and successful. A few guidelines to help steer us all in productive directions are here. Note that these are fluid and should adapt to our evolving situation.

  • Go ahead and edit!
  • Be respectful of differences.
  • Do stretch the bounds of the imagination.
  • Don't limit other people.
  • Don't edit a philosophy in a way that disagrees with more knowledgeable proponents of that philosophy.
  • This is an incomplete guide to philosophy, we aim to succeed selectively at our goals, not to define and complete all possible goals.
  • We are very open-minded and encourage all kinds of endeavors: even blatant marketing and propaganda!
  • Supply the most general proponent of an action, rather than listing each one. For example, if most American teenagers, but not Canadian teenagers or American infants, support an action, mention American teenagers. Omit specific American teenagers, e.g. "John Doe of Fairfax, North Dakota."
  • We proselytize!!!

A contributor is a kind of moral coder, an ethical engineer.
